The Pelican Hotel

Map and directions.
The Pelican Hotel is nestled in the tall palm trees on the beach of Esterillos Este on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.

We´re just a 2-hour drive from the airport in San Jose on the coastal highway between Jaco and Quepos/Manuel Antonio. (see map below)

From Jaco: Drive south approximately 25 km.(18 miles). You will see a sign on your right for the entrance to Esterillos Este(on the left a sign for Monterey). Drive down the road till you reach the airstrip,where you will cross over and turn left. Drive to the end of airstrip(aprox 400 meters) and you will see our sign on the Mango tree on the right. We have private parking. Welcome to the Pelican!

From Quepos/Manuel Antonio: Drive north approximately 35 km. (22 miles). After you pass through the town of Parrita,the entrance to Esterillos Este is about 15 km. on your left. There are two entrances,take the 2nd one, just past Monterey which will be on your right. Follow down to the airstrip, crossover and turn left, drive another 400 meters and you've reached the Pelican! Welcome to our tranquil hideaway!
